Mindfulness meditation - a free, experiential, 6-week introductory course

Sundays, 7th June - 12th July,  4:15-5:30pm at the Brimscombe studio

Course overview:

Join Lara for a free, 6-week introductory course into mindfulness meditation to debunk typical myths around meditating and start building your own mindfulness practice.

Mindfulness and meditation have gained a lot of popularity over the last years, and a lot of people have dipped their toes into it, maybe to accompany their yoga practice. However, a lot of people are also struggling to build a regular meditation practice or feel daunted by the concept of meditation - maybe think they're 'not doing it right'. This course is perfect for you if you’re completely new to mindfulness meditation or if you’ve tried to meditate but couldn't find a way 'in'.

In an intimate group of 6-12 participants and over the course of six weeks, we'll slowly build our understanding of what mindfulness meditation is (and what it's not) and explore different facets of it. You’ll get to hear short talks and receive guided meditations, and each session will leave plenty of time for questions and answers as well as pointers for how to integrate the practice into your everyday life.

Week 1 - 7th June: Getting to know each other; Introduction to mindfulness meditation
